Luke is still working on holding up his head. He looks around at the lights, at us, and absolutely loves looking at the TV. I've taken him out on our back deck and he seems to love looking at everything outside. He loves to talk to the dangly toys on his rock n' play sleeper. It's so sweet to watch. He is SO alert and so curious about his world around him. I know he is just dying to be able to get up and move on his own, and he's constantly "jumping" up when he's propped up on our stomachs. This is one strong baby!! We've been working on doing more tummy time to get his upper body strength improved. He actually doesn't seem to mind it very much, but after awhile starts to cry. We definitely have our little routine down and have settled into this wonderful baby life. He is wearing size 2 diapers and 3-6 month old clothing. He has a few 6 month sleepers he wears, mostly for the length.
I started work again. I've been working 1-2 night shifts a week and it's going pretty well! I know it seems impossible to take care of a baby the day after pulling a night shift, but I believe you can do anything you put your mind to. It usually doesn't happen if I work a Friday night, because Nate is there Saturday morning. And if it does, we are keeping that at once a week. So not a big deal. It's worth it. I usually get home a little before 8 a.m. and feed Luke and immediately put him back in bed for a "sleeping in" day for him..hehe. He and I both sleep until he eats again which is 3-4 hours later. I don't normally sleep any more after that until bed time. It's easier to do that, than get my days and nights messed up.
We are so blessed to have the opportunities that we do, and blessed by this wonderful child the Lord has given us.
