1. What is your favorite thing to search for on Pinterest? (Assuming you use Pinterest. Which you should if you don't.)
I would have to say recipes and home decor!
2. Have you ever been outside of the country you currently live in? Where?
I've been to Cancun for a vacation after graduating High School. We went to northern Mexico for a mission trip once and to Jamaica for our 2 year anniversary!
3. If you could speak a second language fluently, what would it be?
Practical? Spanish
Fantasy? French!
4. Are you a cat person or a dog person?
I would classify myself more of a cat person, but I love dogs if they stay outside. :)
5. What type of house is your favorite? (colonial, ranch, tudor, etc.)
Who knows. Anything that holds special memories.
6. What is your dream car?
I don't really have a "dream car", but I would like a bigger, more sturdy SUV in the near future.
7. If you were vacationing 10 hours away - would you drive or fly? (and not because of money)
Drive! I love road trips!!
8. Would you relive high school if you could? What would you do differently?
No thanks. :) I liked high school, but not enough to go back and relive it.
9. If your significant other had an accent - what would it be?
South African ;)
10. Would you rather not shower for a week or not brush your teeth for a week?
Definitely would choose not to shower. I couldn't even talk to someone if I hadn't brushed my teeth. You can hide body stench a lot easier.
11. Would you rather have all boys or all girls?
I've always said I would love having all boys. I would be happy though with whatever I was given.

5. Hmm.. to take a nap today or not?
6. If I could get away with eating Nestle's Toll House Choc. Chip cookies every day, I would!
7. One day I would like to achieve a goal of making awesome bread products. I WILL master my family's art of sour dough bread baking. (too bad I always let the starter die.)

Luke's half birthday!!
Luke is 6 months old, now!! His half birthday was this past Saturday. We celebrated by going to see Mission Impossible at the IMAX (Luke had a fun time with his grandparents). The movie was pretty great, and I would highly recommend seeing it at the big, big screen!
Luke now weighs 21 lb, 4 oz. He was measuring 28 inches long! Yowzers! Such a big, handsome man!!
Luke can sit on his own for several seconds and supported by his hands for a pretty good while, until he starts looking around and loses his balance. He's doing great! As always, he LOVES to stand! We've been doing little baby sit ups, and he nearly pulls himself up and pushes to a standing position. I can't get over how strong this kid is!
We are currently looking for a new doctor, again. Sheesh! I know there are some crazy moms out there that just don't think anything is perfect or good enough, but it's not the case here. I just want to love our pediatrician and for that person to love his/her job as well! I'm having a hard time finding both criteria. Surprising, right?? So that's that. He got his 6 month shots and didn't do so hot, due to the nurse really not knowing how to give a shot. She pretty well tortured him which was hard to see. I had the right mind to grab them myself and do it! Poor guy, but he recovered quickly. Such a trooper!
He's eating all kinds of different foods now from oatmeal and rice cereal, pears, carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, green beans, and bananas! He's a fan of them all!
Luke's head is looking much better just in this last month! He's still just as content as can be on his tummy doing push ups and "swimming", or on his back looking at his toys or mommy and daddy. I'm thinking he may just skip to crawling..hehe.
In other great news, we've slowly been getting medical bills in since the 9 day hospital journey with his birth. Between my 5 day stay with a C-section and Luke's 7 day NICU stay, they were looking pretty hefty! I won't deny I've been pretty nervous at what that's gonna look like for our financial future. We did learn he was double insured his first 30 days of life, which was amazing! One of the bigger bills came in this past weekend, and all I can say is wow. We do serve an amazing God who provides and takes care. I'm thankful, and it gives me confidence for the amount we will owe on the even bigger bills. Thank you, Jesus!!
We love this little guy more than we could imagined. He's brought an amazing joy to our lives and a different love for each other in a marriage. Again, we are so blessed beyond our imagination.
